Bought some plants today and these were hidden in between them, are they bamboo shrimp, will they be ok with Neón tetras and a very peaceful Bolivian ram ? Or should I return to lfs tomorrow?
Might be a breeding pair because they were stuck together

How established is your tank? These need a very established tank. Also I’ll put it to you like this, you have a higher chance of that ram bothering the shrimp than you have of the shrimp bothering any of your fish. Oh, and also, they won’t/can’t breed in freshwater, they’re like nerite snails and Amano shrimp.

Tank has been running for a year, and planted (: the ram hasn’t even bothered cherry shrimp before, but I will keep an eye out for aggression

and bummer, about the breeding I was hoping for some babies.

Definitely a bamboo shrimp. I have one for a very long time with community fish and never been an issue. I noticed they tend to get a little red in color when there's a lot of food in the water

Yes, bamboo shrimp are filter feeders which is partly why they need old established aquariums to survive.
