Is this a C. Lepidota?

Nope sveni I've seen that black stuff on pikes before i think its fungus not sure though mabye another member can give some insite on that
 
No worries..it's a fungus caused by fish eating bird feces in the wild. It will not harm the fish or you. The cycle of the parasite will not continue if the fish is not eaten by a bird...something like that.

Thanks. I think I might have had a Sevni in the past that died.

Any guesses on the range of time the fungus should disappear by?

It won't go away on its own i saw an adult Lugubris that was Complettly covered in it, it grew in to thick sold patches it covered a good 60%-70% of its body

Hopefully some one here knows how to cure it

Well after about a little over a week the the fungus or whatever it was is starting to disappear. Not much on it compared to the pics. This was after about 2 large water changes and some salt and high heat.
