im planning on starting a 55 reef tank with fish inverts corals the whole bit. well i was online looking for sumps and filters and found this.

this is my thread i started in the filter section. let me know if its worth it or if i should just use the 75 towards a overflow box and skimmer and do a diy sump. also i was thinking about a conversion to make it into a reef friendly sump let me know if its worth the hassle thanks a ton. brandon

For a reef tank, I'd go with a sump/refugium, live rock, sand, powerheads & a good skimmer & forgo the wet/dry filter. They are known to be nitrate factories.
