I'm really puzzled because I have very low nitrates and no detritus in my tank.

However I just noticed this guy crawling on the back glass. He looks like hes like 1.5 inches, which I've never seen that big of a detritus worm before.

Is this anything I need to be concerned about?

Looks more like a type of roundworm. Don’t look like detritus worm. Would remove and recheck all ur decor/plants etc. Clean out any area of debris. Fish acting normal? If good then watch for now. If more come back or see another then consider using levamisole or febendazole.

Thank you, I will definitely keep an eye.

I just removed almost all decor in the tank last night but didnt see anything trapping a lot of dirt.

I am in the process of getting rid of my FX6- I'm wondering if this could be the issue as I only clean it as soon as I see a reduction in flow or higher nitrates. (Hate the maint on that thing! Lol - going back to HOB)

Before reaching out for any meds (fish are looking/acting normal so far) is there anything around the house I can use to kill these things or make it less hospitable in there?

Maybe aquarium salt? Minced garlic?

Thanks
