Is this a disease???

guys i have an iridescent shark which is about 5 inches and hes a greedy fellow he loves hikari cichlid gold but ive noticed something that once they hit the 5 inch mark, it has happened to all the iridescent sharks that i have kept in the past all of them had have this pimple on their mouth, but i gradually fades, is it a disease or a sign that the fish being mature like in Oscars?

What size tank is it in? That's normally a result of them bashing their heads into the walls because their tank is to small. IDs swim a lot and as such I'd try to keep the length of the tank 6X the length of the fish and the width of the tank at least 3X the length of the fish. That's just my opinion, I'm sure others will contribute.
 
Agree with Dive.

I see this sometimes on IDSs who swim up and down or left and right rubbing their snout against the glass too much, not necessarily darting and hitting the glass hard, which of course happens to too many of these nervous fish too.

They do not do the rubbing in a pond or any enclosure with non-transparent walls.

It is not normal but usually no biggie if everything else is good.
