So, when I was moving around my new co2 (glass and ceramic style) diffuser it flipped upside and it had me thinking wouldn't the co2 have more time to stay in the tank and diffuse if it was upside down because the bubbles would have more time to build up and stay in the tank?.

I don't know if this makes any since or not.

i don't know what a "glass and ceramic" diffuser is, but a properly tuned bell diffuser gets almost 100% diffusion by keeping the co2 in an upside down cup until it is absorbed by the water. They are not very popular as they are big, ugly, and completely useless if flipped over.

I can picture what you're saying. I also see the bubbles accumulating in that cup and forming big bubbles that rises to the surface quickly. The diffuser creates tiny bubbles that circulates in the aquarium...with plenty of circulation in the water, the tiny bubbles will stay in the water and not release at the surface immediately.

I myself, do not like the sight of those minute bubbles, so I eliminate that with the a co2 reactor...inexpensive to make.

and by since I meant sense lol. But I may look into the reactor. The CO2 has only been set up for about 12 hours and the plants seem to be looking better already.
