Look like a cross, but not your typical flowerhorn, no. It's head has a similar structure to a convict. Could be a lot of different fish.
hey i was searching through the net and come across this... do you think my FH above may turn out something like this??? if so that would be awesome

Those fish already looked like that by the time they were about 3" so these traits do tend to show pretty early.

i think you have a fh/convict female it might not get that big and i dont thinki it will get that much more color
It does look like a convict cross. And no, It already looks of age and will not develop the pearling in the pic. I have 1.5 inch fry that have more pearling than that... so coloring up with these fish starts when they are young.
ive got an FH last january, looks like a female, around 5-6" before, hasnt developed her redness and pearls in her body since i got it from the LFS, she looks so dull and pale before, but now she looks better than ever, as long as u take good care of ur fish, clean water and good food, they will turn out prettier than u expected in the end!!
about ur pix u showed us, looks like a convict or sumting, her head is different sumhow.. if its really an FH then its an FH, u myt give it sum tym to develop its body as it grows, sum LFS dont really attend to their fishes needs in their shop, thats why u cant see the real beauty of the fish due to low maitenance, as what sum LFS hir are doing..
