What else are in the tank? It does look like a glowlight tetra egg if you have observed the breeding ritual. What time did this happen?

probably 10 or 9 this morning right after i took out a platy fry i added colder water than what the tank was. the only fish in it is platys and glow lights. and Malaysian trumpet snails.

Doesn't look like a platy egg. I've seen platy eggs (stillborn to be more precise) before. Definitely tetras.

so is it fertilized

Yes, it is. Infertile if it begins to cloud over and covered in fuzzy coating which is fungal infection.

wait i forgot to mention there are 2 ram horn snails in there they are really small though about the size of of the bump on the f and j key on the key board.

Weren't you supposed to cover eggs of glowlight tetras to prevent them from fungussing? Also, they lay non adhesive eggs. So, the eggs will fall down into your gravel.

That's not ramshorn egg. There may be substances that allow the stray eggs to stick on glass such as biofilm even if they are not adhesive. There has to be an incident like this out of the norm.

Is it stuck to the glass? Don't GL tetras scatter their eggs? I think it is a snail egg, or eggs.
