I have a Golden Severum, Convict Cichlid, 2 Blood Parrots, and Jack Dempsey in a 55 gallon currently. In a month, or so they will be moved to a 75 Gallon. Will a Gymnogeophagus fit in as a good tank-mate for my fish?No aggression right now, and My Jack Dempsey is supposedly a female and very laid back and young. I am trying to see if I want this Geophagus now so at least the aggression won't be as bad if it grows up with it's tank-mates now. If I were to get it from my site, it would only be 1'-2' inches btw. I am prepared to upgrade to a 120 if necessary but i don't think so.....

I don't believe Gymnogeophagus is a good choice as tank mates for those tropical species, especially in a tank as small as 55 or 75 gallons.
The Gymnos will need a cool down at some point, the other cichlids may not be able to handle, and/or if kept at constant tropical temps, the Gymnos may suffer becoming targets for the more aggressive species in the tank.
I'd do a separate non-tropical tank for the Gymnos.
And I agree with james99, the initial species will max out a 75.

Thank you, duanes! What tank siz edo you recommend for my initial tank mates? The 120?

I can’t add to the answers above however regarding the two parrots I can @ someone who can submit their input.
