Stand in 9- out of 10 shape.
Eclipse system hoods but no media or any of the pumps. I plan to ditch that setup anyways as the hoods are huge.

No glass under the hoods, but I can get glass cut CHEAP so thats not an issue.

The tank is 2 years old and he wants 260 for everything.

My plan was to ditch the hoods, and add my own lighting, use a fluval 405 for filtration, egg crate the bottom and use cilica sand for the bottom.

SO the question is, is $260.00 a good deal. The tank is filled with water now and shows no leaks.

what sort of shape is the tank in (scratches)
 
Glass tank, thick and black silicone, great shape....

Just looking at a 75 at the lfs they wanted 249.00 for just the tank and glass lids. So this is 10$ more but different items with it, I wanted to put a fluval 405 in there, is that enough filtration?
 
"standard" for used tanks is $1-$1.50 a gallon.. basicly it all comes down to whats available in yer area.. around here that price would be a bit high IMO (havent seen the tank or stand).. big tanks are easy to come by around here though...

i personaly dont like glass lids so they would go straight in the trash new or not..

as for filtration... all depends on what you plan to stock the tank with..
 
finding tanks and stands around here seems hard to me. If you don't like glass lids then what do you use?

If you don't get any good around there than I would ask to see it and act like I'm not too crazy about it and say that you will pay $200 for it and that you really don't want to pay more for it since all you going to use is the tank and stand anyway.
 
Thats not a very good deal, I got a 90gal with stand, hood, lights, 80lbs gravel, 3 boxes of supplies,a piece of driftwood, pluss a 20gal tall with hood and lights, and a 10gal with screen hood all for $150 off of Craigs List. So no I do not think that this is a good deal, keep looking though you will find a revaltion eventually. Good Luck
