Is this a good deal

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If you need to ask someone for something, then you don't need it.
If you are just getting into saltwater for the first time, just think about the added costs that a larger tank will need for the upkeep.
Electric - You're going to waste a lot more for lighting and the pumps.
Salt - You guessed it. You need more salt for the more water you're going to use to fill.
Water - Let's face it.
Sand - Self explanatory.
Live Rock - Self explanatory.
Now don't let it burden your parents if you need to ask for any or all of that.

Skene, I have a saltwater tank already. I have a job. When i had a lot of tanks set up, I paid part of the electricity bill, and water bill. I have paid for all my tanks or recieved them as gifts. I would pay for the gas for going halfway, I could even get my uncle, who is close to pick it up till we go up there for xmas. IMO saltwater is better than FW except for FW Rays.

I like setting up the tank, so I would say do it yourself, but it saves time and looks like money too.

The tank is eight years old. The equipment for it is probably old too. Nobody pays $100 or more for a heater. So no thats not a good deal. Here in LongIsland you could get a 150 gallon tank for $500.00.

Ya I kinda good for around here because of the lighting system, but I think I will let it pass.
