I found an ad on CL and it was for 5 clown loaches needing a good home. I picked them up expecting under measured, but unsure on why the price. I met her at a cafe and we chatted, she had them for years and just couldn't upgrade from a 45 g. Ok cool. I had sent her picks of my shoal of 30 ish. She was very excited, especially for my plans in the future with them . I snuck a peek into the bucket and it took everything in me not to drop jaw. I saw 2 massive fat 6 inchers, and 1, 5 inch fatty, and 2 thick 4 inchers. The largest is almost 2 1/2 inches tall and has Marges stripe pattern, kinda split. I am in love.

No picks as of yet due to my camera being misplaced during my husband cleaning house :(

Oh did I mention they were free? :D

I thought mine were big, since most I have had since babies but holy crap. These ones in stores here are out if my price range right now at these sizes for a single fish.

Not only is it a good deal but a school of the same fish looks better with different sizes in there, looks more natural than a tank full of fish the same size like in a pet store. Good luck and post some pics please!

I will be taking pics tonight. I was so pissed that I haven't been able to find my camera until this morning. :irked:

I have to agree about the difference in sizes. I have just been fixated on that tank since I got them. They are by far the largest I have seen in stores, and they are SO fat. I have babies that are not even two inches, and then roughly 25 others (not including the new pickups) that range from 3-6 inches. I am going to take out all the decor tonight to see if i can get a good shot of them all when they ban together.
