I've been searching around craiglist in an attempt to find good deals but around here it seems like everyone wants way too much for what they got i've seen many 55 gallon setups for far more than you can buy them new etc...

But how are these for okay deals ?

This is a 225 gallon aquarium. It is in very good condition but does need cleaned. Regardless its a good deal. Pick up only. 84.5''x24.5'' and 25'' tall. Please email thanks for reading. 600 Dollars

This is the one i am more or less looking at though because the above glass one would be super heavy :S

125 Gallon Acrylic Uniaquarium. Dimensions are 72x18x20 high. These have a build in wet dry filter. These come with 2 power heads and one submersible heater.499.00 dollars

I wouldn't mind getting the glass one but i'd have to keep it at my dads intill i get a house as i would have no were to put it currently >< but i'd still be over there on the weekends when i could and i'd have massive filteration either way i go.

is that 225 for the tank only? if so i'd say that's way overpriced.

125 doesn't look like an awful deal, but personally i wouldn't pay that much unless it came with a stand and just about everything you could possibly need for it

Yeah just the tank for 600 believe me its hard to find deals around here like i said people have 55 gallons on there for 300 and up and 30 gallons for 100 and up although i have seen a couple 55s in the free section. And i was thinking the same i tried to talk down a couple people on some big tanks but i am thinking that whoever sold them the tanks totally ripped them off or something. I could also build a stand for the 125 it would be that big of a deal i just figured its an okay price for an acrylic tank. Then again maybe ill wait around for some better deals as people seem to think there tanks are made of gold around here haha.

Do both tanks come with at least stands hoods and lights. If not I would stay away from both. I got my 150 on craigslist for 500 which came with tank, stand, hoods, lights, rena canister filter, gravel, and a bunch of other deco and chemicals.

I am not too worried about a stand or a hood personally but it would be nice indeed lol, and i had a 150 lined up for 150 dollars was only for the tank of course but that fell through as the guy sold it when i was about ready to head out good thing i called before hand. And i am pretty sure on the 125 it has holes cut out in the top heres the link he has on there

But the 225 is just a glass tank, i tried working with a guy that had a 240 acrylic real close to were i am at that pretty much had everything but he was like 1,500 for it and i tried to explain to him that was a bit too much for me and if we could work something out but he insisted he could get 1,200 atleast for it... and that he had people coming out to purchase it and that didn't happen so yeah.

I also mentioned to the seller of the 240 acrylic about these forums if he continues to keep fish etc, and that he will see for himself what he is asking was a little to high but he never replied back lol :S.

Also what kind of offer could i throw out on the 225 glass aquarium ? i am guessing it would probably be wise as well to re silicone it as well just to be careful
