Hey everyone,
just curious if this layout would work for a 75 gallon tank..
-8 yellow labs (2 males and 6 females or so)
-8 Acei (either white tail or yellow tail, or a mix of the two)
-5 Red Top Zebras (Greshakei, 1 male and 4 females)

would the male greshakei get too rambunctious for the labs and aceis? Is the risk of crossbreeding pretty low for these species?
thanks!

I like it, should make for a nice display.
Awesome! That's good to hear 👍 do you think I could add in a single male demasoni to the mix just because I love their appearance it would be nice to have one and I've heard that the best way to keep them is to either keep a single demasoni in a mixed mbuna tank OR keep a very very large group of them. Could I just keep one? If the demasoni wouldn't work out, could I add a single male johanni or maingano? I wouldn't want it to raise hell and take over the tank so if I can't get away with adding one of these then that's alright

How about saulosi instead of yellow labs?

Single one will be ok as long as there is no similar appearance species. If you wanted a group you will need about 10-12

looks like a pretty peaceful tank for the most part. I would pick one variety of acei to prevent the white and yellow tails from cross breeding. even though they are the same species, they are from different collection points. have you considered mail ordering the salousi? there are a few good suppliers in the northeast that may have or could find them for you.

should be nice, Labs can be crazy with breeding time and such, I personally like more variety but its your setup not mine, then again I cant make up my mind with fish as well, so...
