Hi I am planning to get a 55 gal tank with a 10 inch gold diamond rhom for around 300 to 400 bucks. is that a good deal? The rhom is in great condition is so is the tank with everything in it. i know that large rhoms are worth something like 500 bucks but will tant rhom grow to at least 16 inches in a 55 gal tank??? i can't upgrade within 4 years of my life! BUMMER. should i get the the piranha and tank??? Opinions needed ASAP.:nilly: This deal is in high demands!

Is it a good deal? The best bet would be to compare it against what the vendors are charging for a Rhom with same specs. (size, shape etc.)... If one from a vendor goes for cheaper than the asking price, I'd go with a vendor... main reason is because a 55G standard dimension is only 12" wide... for a 10" fish (which can grow 16"+), it's not an ideal home. So you're really paying just for the fish (and possibly filter if that's a good one, like a canister). Just my 2 c.

if 55g is all you can provide to that rhom don't get it. you should at least house it in a 75g tank since its 18" wide vs the 55g's 12" wide.

that isnt worth it if it is only gonna be in a 55G..(life?) but a golden rhom $300-$400 is a lot for my budget..but if you really want it try 75G..

guys, it's the 55 gal tank AND piranha for 300 buck!!!!!

how long can the 10 incher stay in the 55 gal. don't rhoms take a long time to grow an inch (a year?)

tell him 150 for the fish and get a 75 gallon tank off of craigslist for 150 or 175. If someone actually wants to sell their tank they'll go down on price for you. be sincere but firm. thats what i do ha
