I have very hard water out of the tap. I have been having problems with pH so I was thinking about getting and RO unit. In the mean time I have been using distilled water for my water changes to try to soften the water. Long story short I had and idea to use water from my dehumidifier as water for the tank. So my question is do any of you see a problem with this idea please let me know. I have the capability to store the water between water changes so that should not be a problem. I have not had a chance to test the waters for pH and kH or gH. So if you could let me know your thoughts that would be great

I would just be concerned that the water is missing minerals and such the fish need...

I'd be concerned that the water picked up something from the dehumidifier like copper and trace chemicals from the equipment.Personaly i wouldn't tempt fate-Anne

I had already planned on having to add trace element with Ro water anyway. So that is not that big of a deal. I was just thinking that this might be a cheap alternative to RO or distilled water.
