Is this a good idea?

This guys had a chunk taken out of him. He's eating fine still but I can't handover him damaged further I want him to heal before he goes back into the same tank. He's about 6inches and growing fast. It's a plastic box with 38 x1cm holes drilled through for water flow to the tank. Just not sure about enclosing him like that?

I'm not sure. It only happens at night when I'm not watching. Probably the older ray.

Things like this happen in a comm tank

It will heal up fine I think a lot of people panic to much and moving them stresses them more than the bite

I never step in until they stop feeding

Adding a airstone into the clear tub would help the flow

That looks good to me. Out of interest, how do you stop the box from sinking?

There are braces on the top section of that part of the tank. I just drilled 2 more holes at the top of the box and cable tied it.
