This guys had a chunk taken out of him. He's eating fine still but I can't handover him damaged further I want him to heal before he goes back into the same tank. He's about 6inches and growing fast. It's a plastic box with 38 x1cm holes drilled through for water flow to the tank. Just not sure about enclosing him like that?

Things like this happen in a comm tank

It will heal up fine I think a lot of people panic to much and moving them stresses them more than the bite

I never step in until they stop feeding

That looks good to me. Out of interest, how do you stop the box from sinking?
