is this a good price for a senegal?

i was at my local petsmart, and i know how people advise against going there and what not, but i rarely ever buy live animals from there, usually just supplies. Anyways, i saw that they had 3 two inch long regular senegal bichirs for $7.99. They were so cute and i was tempted to get one, but wanted to know if this is a good price. thanks.

but i would get em at 4-5" from a lfs
at that size feed em bloodworms frozen shrimp, and earthworms

Yea, not bad in my opinion. When mine were small I fed broken up pellets and pieces of shrimp/fish.

I think I got mine for a dollar more. I'd say reasonable. I used to break up hikari carnivore pellets for them at that size.

alright guys, thanks. i have wardley's floating cichlid pellets that i also feed to my pictus cats but i crush em up and they sink. would this be ok for the bichir?
