Is this a good price?

I am new to piranhas and I was at my lfs today and I saw what was labeled as a black piranha...it was approx. 10is inches long and priced at $400...It seems a little pricey to me...but again i'm new.

Not a bad price in Ontario but the longer it's been there the lower they will be willing to go just to clear up space for other stock.

The guy also had a school of 6 rbp's that were about 8 iches if I remember right and they were I think...maybe $50 each

Depends on the individual fish I guess, Seems like a lot to me. Maybe if he is really good looking, and really social.....but you could probably talk him down....dont think there is a real large market for already grown out fish. I for one prefer buying juvi and raising them myself. If he isnt really social Id say no way, nothing is more boring then a shy killer fish who wont even come out or eat in front of you.

it is a really good price, at Aquatic Kingdom we bring in ones that are a little bigger then that for 5-600.
