Is this a good price

Hey guys, There is a big pike (about 12 or 13in.) at the lfs for $50, I think its a ven. Im assuming this is cheap but what do yall think? I have a little bit of experience with pikes is there anything I need to know before I buy this fish?

See,if it was a rescuing thing,i'd understand,but why get a fish that lived it's whole life??What if it is it's last month of life!!!!!!!!!Me,personally,i like to raise them,but if you must,and i guess it's a good price.I just never got the fact of a fish costing more if it was bigger.Should'nt it cost less because you'll have it for less time and didn't get to raise it?

50 is a nice price for that size of almost any pike. Thing would be smaller fish, peaceful fish and more aggressive fish. Oh yeah, size of tank you putting it in.

Go for it...but i would change your salt tank to a fresh tank cuz that 80gal is only gonna be able to house it for a year or so. They can easily get 16" +...supposedly supposed to get 24" in the wild. So yeah. It might not be a ven. though, so go ahead and get it....

About it almost having lived its full life, i doubt it. Its not even full grown yet! Plus pikes can live for SEVERAL years...
