There's a 75 on Craigslist that has e erything for 100.00. Its a good deal to me and I need to upgrade my 55 for my bichirs. So is this a good stand?uploadfromtaptalk1372191885160.jpg
Also he's had it in storage for 3 years. Will I need to resilicone it bc that something I don't want to do?

That thing does not look sturdy/stable, looks like it's maid of compressed woodboard or something.

Hard to tell from picture, but I would say NO.

Also, doesn't even have doors or anything to put filtration/equipment under the tank. Very little point to that thing.

Lastly, I wouldn't even bother with this upgrade. 55 --> 75 is not a very big upgrade space-wise. If I were you I'd save up a little and hold out for something larger, rather than wasting your money on a minor improvement.

It has to go upstairs so a 75 is the biggest and I need the extra width for my bichirs and African knife.

yup ... that does not look like a stand at all ... and also not stable ... you'll eventually will upgrade when that knife get's bigger....

I think I'll get it and if the stands bad I'll build a new one. I'll see if he can get pics of the inside of the stand though.

Lol I thought it was a cardboard box. You would have to see the inside before purchasing it as It definetly looks very basic from the outside but with the right support inside you should be fine

storage for 3 years ? How long was it full? In a garage or anything that is open to temperature changes ?

Id say your in for some work brother, you will definitely want to reseal it... WELL! Also go buy yourself some 2x4s and build your own stand if you want a cheap stand. That flimsy plywood is crap and will blow up and fall apart as soon as a drop of water hits it.
