I have a 60x24x24 120G tank. I am planning a changing up my fish to this.
4 Xenentodon cancila (Needlenose Gar)
1 Mastacembelus erythrotaenia (Fire Eel)
1-2 Channa gachua (Dwarf Snakehead) (I live in Canada so these are legal)

I am confident the Gars and the Eels will work fine together. The advice I am looking for is on the snakeheads, will they get along with the other fish? If not I would appreciate suggestions on other fish to add that are from the same general geographical area. Thanks.

with a snake head you should get some red tailed barricuda. i had some needle fish and they get streesed out to easly and sucume to illness.

would something like a school of tiger barbs work instead of the snakehead? They should be peaceful and not torment the needlefish, as long as they themselves don't become food.

Well no experience witu snakeheads myself, but your tank is bigger then 120g. 60x24x24" is closer to 150g.

That species of snakehead shouldn't grow larger than 8 inch, and the Needlefish will grow to about 12in, thought that might work. Figured it would be best to ask people who know before going out and buying fish though.

It's a horrible horrible plan. The sn will eat the gars...god, what were you thinking?

He's just asking for advice... you don't need to be so hard on him.
