Philadelphia, PA
89 degrees Fahrenheit
90% water change once a week

80% massivore pellets feeding
20% frozen bloodworms feeding

No substrate.
No decorations.

I’m trying to get it to eat 100% massivore, just the smaller ones are stubborn. Never fed live since I brought them.

I usually feed them everyday. One pellet at the time. Once there’s two uneating pellet on the floor, I stopped feeding.

Any changes you would recommend.

How big are you fish? 89 is Hotta that temperature your fish’s metabolism is going to to be way up and they probably should be fed multiple times a day if their small. I personally would lower the temperature a bit, fwiw I keep my fish at 81 and have never had any problems with ich.

If the bass are babies I always have my temp set at 88-90 degrees feed 3x a day water changes every 2-3 days 90 percent.

4-6” and up to old age 82 degrees water changes 1-2 times a week sometimes 3x based on nitrate levels.

I would soak the massivore in the blood worm juices and feed they will eventually accept.

Your doing great!

If you are concerned about hex lower temp below 82.
My Bass do fine at 79. Some like to keep temps up to promote metabolism. Keeping temps up to prevent ich is futile IMO.
You would need to keep close to 89 and that may not kill ich that are resistant.
BTW Bass look nice.
