Is this a good trade?

personally i ike the rice frog better. but any opinions somebody gives you dont matter. if somebody asked me if i would rather have a turtle or a snake i would say turtle. you might say snake. evrybody has their own opinion, and if somebody thinks you should take the newt, why would you do it if you actually want the frog?

if you think its a good trade, then its a good trade.
personally i think newts are tight as all-get-out.

I decided not to. Mostly because I can't set up another tank, and I'm hesitant to fill up a Rubbermaid crate that has air holes drilled in it with water. And I already have 7 Newts, lol

How much do Rice Frogs Retail for and How Much do the Newts retail for?

I am assuming that You have one and will be trading for the other.

Myself i would not be willing to trade if i had the more expensive animal if there is a large Difference.

Is a Paddle Tailed Newt the same as a Chinese Fire-bellied Newt? If so i just purchased 2 for $4.99 Each.

The Only way I would consider trading for a lesser Valued Animal is if I raised one type and the other was extremely difficult to get locally.

really, i dont care how much an animal is worth, as long as it looks beastly, im cool with it. of course if its rare thats just a bonus:D

Paddletail Newts are closely related to Firebellies, but for one thing get about 3 times bigger. They need faster-flowing water and eat much larger prey. In fact they prey on Firebelly Newts. Here are the prices that I got my Rice Frog for and my friend got the Paddletail for:

Rice Frog: $8.99
Paddletail Newt: $12.99

I'm not doing the trade though. Not now anyways. The only thing that might cause me to re-think the trade is if for whatever reason I got sick of buying so many crickets. As you can imagine, such a fat Frog eats a lot.
