Sup guys,

I woke up today with my oscar having what I think is a heater burn. Doing a big water change as I make this thread, just making sure that it is indeed a heater burn and not some kind of funghi type thing.
Is there anything else I can do to speed up the healing?

Looks like it. Can apply some methylene blue to the area with a qtip and use a bio bandage on it. Keep the water pristine.

Ok so here is a quick update:

My lfs doesnt have any methylene blue, I can order it online so its not really an issue. But getting the hikari bio bandage seems to be nearly impossible to get in The Netherlands. Would it still be worth it to use the methylene blue without the bandage?

My O is doing fine btw! Still eats like crazy and he still loves interaction. The burned scales fell off and the wound now just looks like a piece of fish filet.
Doing a 50% water change every other day till its healed up

Meth blue is the best bet. Here's a little trick in a pinch. Put a little Neosporin on the wound. It will do the same thing as the bio bandage and the antibiotics will help prevent infection. Add some aquarium salt to the tank too as long as you have no fish the would be adversely affected by it.
