is this a Jewel?

So I bought this fish only to get home and realize it was not what I had wanted. I originally wanted a firemouth but ended up I think it is a Jewel. I looked and looked online but cannot find any jewels that look like this and after going back out and buying a turquoise Jewel there are similarities but only to an extent. I did take it to the lps here and the guy said it looked like a jewel so that brings me here again looking for some info as to exactly what I have going on here. The pic is not the greatest and this is one of the more timid fish I have owned.

wow, I think you hit the nail on the head for me!! no, I know you did. so it looks like I have some learning to do on this fish.

ok so if I am to understand this right adult size is roughly 2.5" to 3.5" more so depending on if it is a male or female. That would lead me to say I have a mature male as it is close to 4". Now I seem to be running into a prblem because my actual jewel is growing so fast he is almost as large as the Flag chiclid or Flag Acara. Either way the Jewel has more of an attitude but not enough just yet as he is about half as small.
