Traded some fish for these.. shop owner said they were on his order list as KKP, but really doesn't know the difference.

What do you think?

They are getting more of an orange/red color as time goes by, and the smaller one has laid eggs, and the larger one guards them.. I'm 100% sure he's sterile.

I don't know, but post some pics of that hericthys in the back of the second pic. Looks like it's a good looking fish in breeding dress. Is it carpintis?

It is indeed... He's guarding eggs now actually..

Yepp... Got 2 different spangled carpintis.. but he grabbed one of the same as he is!

BUMP! Anyone know about my parrots?

Nope...look to be regular BPs. Look at the head, KKPs have rounder heads and there is a little to no inward hump between the head and body. KKPs also grow larger and can fully close their mouths. If it was a KKP it'd look more like this,

#2 is the real KKP and to be true some KKP do have open mouth which actually look nicer and not so agressive.

Your is a normal blood parrot or some call it a happy parrot cos if you look at the mouth in front position is a smiling all the time. Parrut (32)-Optimized.jpg
