Is this a lei or a jar

I was told it's a jar but it kinda looks like it could be either one

Kinda hard to tell with those blurry,distanced shots but the lower photo looks like thay of a jar.

Agreed the lower picture looks like a jar. Maybe wait for it to grow out a little more. The other picture in your other thread was a weird angle which made me say that.

if it is a jar wouldn't it be darker or are they light at first and then darken over time

At that size the both of them tend to be pretty light in color.

It depends on the surrounding.

At that size the both of them tend to be pretty light in color.

I've seen plenty of 3"+ jars dark like enbigger guys. It depends on their surrounding really. I will say I've not seen a smaller than three incher dark. But I believe his is atleast 3". What made me say jar was the head shape. Feel like jars are more angled or pointed and leis are a little more rounded. Don't really know how to describe it though.

Yes,which was why I said that they tend to be light in color rather than they all are. I suspect it is about that size also,most I have seen in that range have been light in color.
