Is This a Male or Female Geophagus?

Hey guys, just picked this guy up a few days ago, posted some other thread about him the other day. Thought he was a male but now im just not sure...its a geo. Brasiliensis and its 4" total length. Here's a few pics. Thanks!

Okay yeah, not sure if it helps but its pretty territorial and really flares up and nips at its reflection if i put a mirror there. Can females of this species be like that as much as males?

Here's a pair defending their fry, female in front. Note the steeper profile of the male.
