The thing that indicates this is a male .. is the amount of speckling and color... and longer finnage.. i just looked at yours and i have to think yours is a female.. plainer and duller in color... but a gorgeous looking female.. females just dont skimmer and glimmer... like the males and they are as a rule not as large.. their head is slightly different.... but it is the shades of color and the intenseness of color that indicates m/f..Males are generally larger and develop a nuchal hump with age and have more flowing longer pointed fins. Females have less contrast in color and are more "plump" and round in shape.TrikkyMakk;2928255; said:Now why do you think this is a male? Everyone said girl on the one I posted and other than the flash washing out the colors I cannot see any difference: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=227109. Can you look at that thread and let me know your opinion as well?
