Is this a mota?

99% of the time it's going to be the red tigers. And that looks like a female with a deformed face. I'm sure nothing's wrong with it, just looks a little odd. I've got a male festae with something similar going on. Doesn't effect how he acts or eats, just adds character. I'd imagine when it's less stressed it's colors will show better

no. If you care for it well it will have good colors. When breeding the red comes out a lot more.

If your care and water is good, a RTM female can go past the red and have burgundy. But that's very good care and mood.

This is not an example of the Burgundy but a sample of good care.. Just tlc and she will color up

The mota is about 5" in quarantine if it's a female it should stay under 10". I have a 75 gallon with 2 firemouth about 4" and two salvini 4.5" and a pleco would she do alright in there growing out until I find her a potential mate? It's got plants and driftwood rock caves I think she'd feel better in there there's also a school of giant danio dithers. Just concerned if she would get along with the other cichlids.

You might have a problem with the salvini. Every fish is different it's worth a shot just keep an eye on your tank. If possible remove all fish except the pleco. Move things around so no fish is established anywhere and replace the fish in the tank at the same time.

There's the best pics I could get had to sit on the couch and sit a while for her to come out and eat lol. She's just showing zero red and I'd say she's at least 6" bigger than I thought she's about twice the size of any fish in the 75 the salvini is laid back for some reason the firemouths are the mean ones and there supposed to be the all bark no bite lol
