I dont want to hijack a thread but when I got my ray a couple months ago everyone said Peruvian Motoro variant. What species is a "Peru Flower"?
there is a great amount of confusion going on with these rays at the moment.
i have a pair and they were shipped in as "peruvian hystrix", ive also seen them listed as peruvian flowers as well.
ive just been calling mine Potamotrygon sp, "peru".
i have a feeling they are closely related to motoro but it seems like they are there own species and need a PROPER name so every one can id them once and for all.

Mine was also labeled as Peruvian Histrix, but of course I knew it wasnt that when I got it. So, is it a "peru flower motoro" variant?

but the peruvian flower name was just made up by some suppier as they dont have a proper name for this varient.

i think its time some one decided what name to give them and stuck to it so we had a name to call them.
