Is this a Nic? That two-section dorsal fin has me wondering...

yes but it has had damage to that dorsal at some point

It is a Nic. I have three. You would not believe the color these fish develop. Almost like a rainbow.

Mine never looked like that. Mine is 100% yellow.


Its got a little bit of red on the back tip of the dorsal fin.

The Dorsal fin may grow back over time depending on how much damage has been done, Face looks ok from the pic. I used to have a pair but the female got wacked by a GT. Not sure what others have experienced but mine have been slow growers.

Very nice female. One of the species where the female will color up better than males.
If spines get damaged it usually is permanent.

A bit more like a really cool blue and gold fish.
