Looks like an injury that could have gotten infected.
How long has it had it and has it gotten any worse?
Another water change never hurts.

Doesn’t look a parasite to me. Like deadeye said maybe just an injury.

I have a few other grow out male breidohri in the tank and they have recently started scrapping a bit so hopefully it is just that.

I only noticed it today so not sure if it has got any worse but I'll keep an eye on it, and like you said, do additional water changes.

Thanks

So a bit of an update on this. I done some extra water changes and it didn't make a difference, things seemed to have gotten worse. It's now like a blister of some sort?

Looks like the wound is infected - try treating in a separate tank with an antibiotic like kanaplex.

Looks a bit the start of Lymphocystus to me.
A viral , ubiquitous disease, that has no effective medicinal treatment, other than lots of water changes.
Breidhori seem to be especially vulnerable if under stress.
I received a group that soon after shipping developed Lymph, after a series of large water changes, and settling in, the disease disappeared.
Are there any more dominant fish in the tank, stressing them out?

This is my pair after shaking off the disease

There are other dominant fish in the tank but none that appear to stress him out other than a male that is about the same size. Good to know there is a chance of recovery - I'll keep up on the water changes for now. Thanks

Stress isn't just about overt aggression, but can be caused by subtle intimidation.
I would try separating the infected one into a different tank for a while to see what happens
