Is this a pbass?

Is this fish a pbass? Or is it the fish that strongly resembles a pbass? (the name escapes me)

This fish was apparently caught in Australian water and is really throwing me off.

I personally do not believe its a pbass.

but that pic is way to small to Garauntee for my limited experience

But the tail looks forked like Perch not round like Cichla And the Stripes look pointed not blocky

And it has no tail spot. I think all Pbass have tail spots, right?

I didn't say anything about that due to the way way washed out colors...

Thats the fish I was thinking of.

That has to be it...as they are found in the river that this fish was caught in.
