I dont know if this is an actual problem both my oscars started getting marks on them almost as if they were missing scales, the pictures arnt the best but give you an idea. the marks are healing and they are acting perfectly normal otherwise, i just dont know if its a disease or are they rubbing against something. any answers from the pros would help

Looks like superficial damage from fighting/bumping into objects. Personally, I would just keep the water clean and keep an eye out for secondary infections, but I imagine other people will chime in and say you need to add pimafix, melafix, anti-fungal treatment, salt, kool-aid, etc..

I Agree with the fighting/bumping part, my Goldfish are the same, they're losing scales left and right b.c of my Cigar Shark, and when 1 of them try to swim away, they usually bump into objects, my goldfish, usually hit my Castle or Chest when trying to get away from my Shark.

Hope that helps
