is this a RBP or a pacu?

hi guys ,
i m new to the forum here and i m happy to join this friendly community:) ,

i just want to ask if this fish is a RBP or a pacu ? here is a pic

um a bigger pic would help. but from what i can tell it is a pacu. from that ig the appears to be no lower potruding jaw. so i would say you a have nice pacu there. hope you have a nice 300 gallon tank
 
yeah, thats a pacu. careful, they get to be MONSTERS!. i'd say plan on a 500G.
 
just click on the picture to get a bigger size , but pacu are herbivore !! because this litle guy keep eating feeders all day long? so i really dont know what to say.

pacus are omnivores, and will eat anythig they can get. greens are a very important dietary component, though. my advice is don't feed him feeders. they are bad fo his health. feed him mostly lots and lots of greens with feeders as a treat
 
That is definately a Pacu, you tell by the way the eye is level with the mouth. A Piranha's mouth is below the eye level. I've seen Pacu that were 20+ inches ! Good Luck
