Is this a real red terror?

Not really at that size, won't be sure until it's 4"+ or until a black blotch develops on the front part of its dorsal fin.
+1 he's still too young to be sure.

Sometimes they show physical traits by 4", some of them take until they hit 5-6" before you can be absolutely sure. Just wait and you'll know soon enough. Well, maybe not soon but eventually, lol.
