Is this a real red texas if not, what is it.....

It has infection in between its bottom fins, just netted him out of my mini pond to look. I am going to treat it with melafix, thats just what i always used, if any suggestions please let me no whats better.

Now that i no its a real red texas(water said this might have been a RT a few weeks ago) for sure, i will move it in to a tank in next few days, i have to pull slate and drift wood out of pond and catch him again.
