Is this a red tiger motaguense?

Hello MFK members.
I have the opportunity to buy this fish for $30!!!! It's being sold as a jaguar but when I saw the pics it screamed to me RTM. What do you guys think?

Yeah now that I've looked around online I see how you are right animal guy thanks! Can you tell if it's female or male? Do they have teeth like other cichlids in the parachromis genus?

Definitely a Loisellei as the animal guy said, you can tell by the coloration.

As for your question yes they've got teeth just like other Para's but from what I understand and have experienced Loisellei are usually one of the calmer more tolerant of the Para's.

How rare are they? I know jags and doviis are pretty common.

Depends on the area I imagine, in my experience easiest to hardest to locate for me is Jags, Dovii, Loisellei and the hardest is RTM. Again like I said it maybe different in other areas.
