It looks like they are dying Midevils to pass off as Rose Queen. Not sure if its genuine but treat it as you would a Midas/Red Devil, they are not different personality and requirements wise.
I know they are seen are on Rose Queen but I honestly don't believe those colors are naturally found on them. Light Pink then yeah I can see that but I don't think purple is.
The one picture at the top is a bad picture so I can't say but Rose Queen should have white/tan/blue-green colored eyes not red. Its hard to determine whether they are genuine or not because its only subtle differences that make up true Rose Queen.
Like I said its hard to tell, the ideal one should have the eye trait but its possible for it not.
I can tell yours if because of the strong Parrot/Vieja Tail and Dorsal/Anal fins. Maybe the purple from Synspilum stays when fading?
Mine had no purple as you can see and the pink faded to orange as he grew.... he did stay this color for probably 3-4 months.
Some of his brothers and sisters had purple in them and it does not look dyed when your in front of it..
If you have a picture to share of an RQ with another color eye I'd love to see it.
OP: a sweet fish. If he's as aggressive as mine was don't put any skin near the surface of the water
update this as he grows, I would love to see the outcome and remembering old friend's...
