is this a Senegalus?

So i picked this guy up at my lfs for $7 supposedly its a senegalus but im not to sure...

Thanks, ya he is getting moved to a better tank shortly, i just needed a place to isolate him, he started going after rosies that were as big he was. So i think he is really hungry...

I have had no issues using gravel with my sens, but yah apparently sand is better.
