is this a sev?

hey i bought this at the lfs a while back while it was tiny and it has grown up beating Ps for a year now.. i think its a sev but i dont really know..

No, thats a vieja species, lookis like synspilla. Looks skinny too, feed him up.

hrm.. so a vieja?

it was sold to me as a green sev.. sigh... can anyone give me some basic info on them?

he eats a buttload of pellets everyday.. idk if its just the angle but his tummy is always packed.. .

Deffinantly a vieja.

They get to about 14" or so, eat anything, and are a primarily herbivorous CA cichlid, so feed lettuce every now and then.

Yeah, some sort of Vieja, though i don't really think it's a synspilum, at least not pure.

A lot of LFS Vieja are hybridized, but this one looks a lot like a zonatum IMO.
