Marbled goby, damn Im rusty! Been out of the hobby for awhile. It must have been a recent release because I dont think one would survive this far north in Florida.

Ok Im generally good at IDing if a fish is a snakehead or not. I was sent this pic of this fish from a local fisherman claiming it was so. He said he caught it in a local bayou that is pretty much pure SW maybe perhaps a bit brackish.

What do yall think? The jaw looks funky to me.

That is a pickerel or other name is walleye

+1 it's absolutely not a snakehead. Defiantly looks to be in the goby family.

Snakehead species do not venture into brackish or salt water . It's one of the few environments that no channa species tolerate.
