Is this a stable NTT?

Do guys recon this NTT is stable? or is he supposed to get more yellow?

his stripes seem to have improved when his NTT tank mate went upside down (choked on market prawn).

he has grown up quite a bit and is much fatter since i got him - still very shy and likes to hide under fake plant mat. I have never seen him cruise around the tank... almost like a bottom dweller. Eats only market prawn and frogs.

Also, how big do NTT get? He is currently ~7".

Semi ... cause the bars are not solid black. base colour is very good though.

Stability also depends on how much the colours fade in and out over time, (both black bars and light base colour bars).

Is the ntt like that ALL the TIME?

The black stripes are definitely more pronouced than before, but the fish is not as "goldern" as i have seen on MFK ... so more time?

Is it normal that he does not swim around> likes to hide ... quite unbecoming
