Considering picking this up. What do you guys think?

Thats a nice red texas. I mean its the best ive seen being called rt.

Most of these guys post unfaded kamfa as SRT so its safe to call it RT.

The super part might fit if it grows a hump and super amazing pearls.haha

Nice RT!!!

So will it turn completely red? And pardon the Flowerhorn noob questions but what does the faded/unfaded mean?

And what's a fair price to buy him for at 9"?

It may fully fade with some time but I like the remaining dark blotches. At 9" the sky is the limit price wise. $200 or less if you can get it for that.

As previously stated in your other now deleted thread, no, this fish is not an SRT, other than perhaps in the figment of some vendors imagination.

The chances of it completely fading at this size, is pretty slim. (in my opinion)

Fading means losing the black pigment, and is explained in the following thread in more detail.

As far as value, again, that can only be determined by you, and how much you personally like this fish. Myself, I would not pay anywhere near $200 for that fish.

Nope, just an RT. Not a bad one by any means though. Most likely will never fully fade, but then again there are many beautiful full grown RT/SRT that never actually fully fade. I don't think $200 is completely unreasonable for the fish if that's what they're asking, but probably wouldn't pay that myself. In the end, at least he's a true red and not an over saturated red light RT special.
