looks kind of like a tumor to me... I only hope it's not malignant, since there's no way you could save him if it is.
today, the underbelly is starting to bleed and it wont eat anymore. I think it only has about 2-4 days left

All is not lost...unless the fish already died. I was at Pet Supermarket and they have a medication for exactly what you described. And it is only five bucks and change. I don't remember the name but head over to your lfs or pet store and see what they have.
