We picked all this up for our salt water tank. Do we need anything else?

100 Gallon Aquarium Fish Tank

*Red Sea Prism Protein Skimmer*

*C.P.R. Bak Pak With Protein Skimmer*

*Magnum 350 Canister Filter*

*7 Power heads for Water Motion*

*Thermometer*

*Grounding Probe*

*4-Compact Florescent Lights inside Fixture*

*Ebo Jager Heater*

Hydrometer for measuring specefic gravity, crushed coral or live sand for the base of the tank. Saltwater test kit.

What about reverse osmosis?? I'm really unfamiliar with salt water tanks but now I came across this to add to everything else I dont know about.

If your tank isn't already drilled, you will need an overflow. And UGF plates for under the coral is really nice to keep the coral from getting anaerobic bacterial action in it (power heads go on the stand pipes).

will this be fish only with live rock or fish only or reef?????

we're still trying to figure out what exact combination we want but DEFINATELY fish. We love clowns and tangs. I also wanted an anenome but still unsure of what we can and cant have in the same tank. We just want to get the aquarium started a.s.a.p. so we can get it cycled and start to stock.

i would recommend a different skimmer( never heard good things about red sea, or bak pak)...like a asm, but that would mean you need to get a sump. If you dont want to do that ( i would reccomend you do a sump for a SW set up) then get a turbofloater hangon. Do not use the media in the canister filter, it will just raise your nitrates. use live rock or something. Like i said before a sump for a SW is plus, and they are really not that hard, just drill your tank ( hardest part) and get a rubber maid containter, or an old tank.

if you get corals, depending on what corals you get you would probably want to upgrade your lighting. then again it just depends on what corals you get.

RODI unit is a good investment especially for salt water.
