Hiya guys. Just wanna show you my micropeltes. His name is Joe! . Its in a 2 footer tank now along with 2 senegal bichirs, a pleco and a longnosed gar all 5 inches and theyve been together since day 1. And as far as I see they do get along well, except for the pleco(hes really active at night lol). Im thinking of getting a 6 footer tank pretty soon. Its grown to about 8 inches now from its wee little 1 inch 7 weeks ago! I feed him about 2-3 feeder mollies a day. Are my actions all correct? Im afraid if im doing it wrong or anything :(

And btw Anyone can tell me how long more do I have to wait for its back to be black? Im really excited about its transformation! Heres a pic of him!

he is looking good , as you can see they grow fast so a upgrade in tanksize is needed soon.

I advised you to put him alone in other tank. I mean species tank. I have two micros already and I feed them twice a week. Now they're reach around 15-16 inch.

good job, try to get him on frozen food and you'll save money. also he will prob eat the other fish soon... get him a nice big tank of even build a pond in your climate and keep my favourite of all the fish ive kept, i have a micro about the same size atm good luck check my youtube page in my sig for a look at arry my little dude, good luck

The bichirs most likely will eventually become food especially since they probably won't get past 8-10 inches.

I see.... whoa 2 times a week? Then how often did you feed when he was about 8 inches?

Thats kinda scary. But heres something. I occasionally separate my gar into my feeder tank to feed him there as he wouldnt have any chance of eating in my main tank when theres my micro around. Usualy when I place any new live fish he would lunge towards it and eat it straight away. But when I placed in the gar, he never showed any interest in it. Any clues on this behavior?
