Is this an Acara? or a hybrid?

Lol so I spent ages trawling the net when I got her (sex unknown, i just call it a her) and all the pics I saw pointed to her being a blue acara, but now she's got these black stripes that come and go when shes excited and now theres a touch of orange on her tail as well as her dorsal. She's about 7cm long ( 3 inch) and very fat, she's a lil piggy and crams everything in her mouth before the other fish get there.

LOl so is she a hybrid? or did I really luck out and get a green terror?
 
She is neither. She is a blue acara
 
Thats a Blue Acara for sure. She is a little porker isn't she. Oh and I believe its a she but don't quote me on that. Stripes are normal for acaras and so are red edged fins. What do mean luck out and get a green terror I wish I could find a Blue Acara around here! I've searched every store and nothing. Your going to have a really nice Blue Acara when matured.
 
Even with the orange on her tail? I thought the blue acaras weren't meant to have orange on their tail... it's only on the top half...

Lol a green terror would mean I'd have to sell it, which is a big pain, LOl round luck out means no luck etc. LOl blue Acaras are everywhere here, so are green terrors for that matter LOL

Yes actually thats what you look for when buying an Acara the half red edge or thin red edge like a JDs fins. GTs will have more orange and thicker orange edge. I can't really find Decent GTs around my area either. For some reason more rare fish come my way. lol
 
yeah thats a blue acara and she is a porky one and nice colours too which is good as mine increased in colour when he had a big belly.....realy nice fish they change colour quite alot mine changes alot he goes all black if someones anoying him and then goes for them and goes clear of all stripes when being feed or w/c mine love messing with the syphon. i have 3 and only 1 is nice so its hard to find quality acaras now. heres mine all the same acara:) good luck with yours

Ha!!! I bought a green terror from petsmart and it looks JUST like these... I always thought its face was exceptionally blue, but immediatly when I saw that pic of yours I thought green terror for sure...I am going to take pics of mine tomorrow, maybe its an acara too.
 
PetsMart and PetCo does sometimes have blue acaras instead of green terrors, so you probably have one too.
